This project transforms and extends an existing vaulted building, introducing new spaces that bring light, transparency, and a renewed sense of openness to the original structure. The extension accommodates the kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom, forming a contemporary counterpart that strengthens the building’s spatial clarity and purpose.

The design is organized around a spiralling movement, allowing one to navigate through, under, and over the spaces. This continuous flow blurs boundaries between interior and exterior, encouraging an ever-changing spatial experience as one moves across levels and thresholds.

Materiality remains true to our practice’s architectural language: rough stone walls, concrete handmade floors, crafted inlays, and bespoke furniture. Together, these elements ground the project in a tactile, enduring palette that unifies the historic and the new.
